EVITAN – P.T.I. (Occupy Wall Street) – (Video)

Published on December 5th, 2011

EVITAN (Native spelled backwards) is rap duo formed by Dres of Black Sheep and Jarobi of A Tribe Called Quest. The group will release their album sometime in 2012, but have already released their first single, “P.T.I. (Occupy Wall Street)”. P.T.I. is an acronym for Pardon the Interruption.

This song provides a voice for the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement. “The 99% need to have not just a voice, but voices…we need to have more voices that speak to our plight beyond what is given to us via the media,” Dres explained.

They shot the video amongst the OWS protestors to express the passion behind the movement and to reveal the actions and attitudes of the New York Police Department (NYPD) towards the OWS protestors.

This video will make you want to see more from their upcoming project. Click below to watch the “P.T.I. (Occupy Wall Street)” video.
